Police Department Citizen's Academy
The Santaquin Police Department takes pride in our community and understands the importance of establishing and maintaining community partnerships between the police department and the individuals and organizations we are committed to serving. We strongly believe the public should play a vital role in prioritizing and dealing with public safety. Police can rarely solve public safety problems alone; therefore, the goal of the Santaquin Police Department is to develop interactive partnerships with citizens to develop solutions to problems and increase trust in our officers. The goals of our Citizen's Academy are threefold:
- To provide citizens insight into police department operations and procedures.
- To strengthen community relations with the Santaquin Police Department.
- To create an environment that is conducive to constructive feedback from citizens.
The academy sessions are kept small in order to create an effective atmosphere for instruction and learning. It is also critical to limit the number of attendees in order to give plenty of time for questions and feedback.
