Historic Preservation Committee

The Historic Preservation Committee is commissioned to:

  • Survey and Inventory Community Historic Resources
  • Review Proposed Nominations to the National Registry of Historic Places
  • Review Applications for Certificates of Appropriateness
  • Provide Advice and Information to City Officials and Other Governmental Officials
  • Support Enforcement of State Historic Preservation Laws.

Meetings

The Historic Preservation Committee meets quarterly in January, April, July and October on the third (3rd) Thursday of the month at 6pm.  They meet in the Council Chambers at 110 S. Center Street. 

Membership

Members are appointed by the city governing body for a three year term and may be reappointed to serve a second consecutive three year term.
