Practical Magic

June's book is “Practical Magic” by Alice Hoffman.

For more than two hundred years, the Owens women had been blamed for everything that went wrong in their Massachusetts town. And Gillian and Sally endured that fate as well; as children, the sisters were outsiders. Their elderly aunts almost seemed to encourage the whispers of witchery, but all Gillian and Sally wanted was to escape. One would do so by marrying, the other by running away. But the bonds they shared brought them back-almost as if by magic... Books available at the library. Questions call 801-754-3030

Get Set Read

Our theme this year is “On Your Mark, Get Set…READ!” and each week participants will exercise their minds by reading and participating in activities. The kick-off event is on Tuesday, June 7th at the library 20 W 100 S; from 3pm to 6pm. Join us for sign-up, activities, rewards and treats. At the end of eight weeks grand prizes and secondary rewards will be awarded to those who finish. Age groups include pre-school to 12th grade.

The library would like to thank all of the people and businesses who have sent donations. Your contribution helps so much to make it a great summer reading program! Questions 801-754-3030.
